Be wary of the money…

WHEN considering their voting options for the new T20 tournaments, the County Club Chairmen, MCC, Minor Counties and PCA reps might have regard to the fiasco which was the Stanford Super Series of 2008.
Just to remind readers, the Stanford Super Series collapsed after just one season, and Stanford was convicted of a multi-billion dollar fraud. He is now serving a 110-year prison sentence. So much for the ECB’s financial prudence, foresight and thoroughness in ensuring a proper examination of the facts before jumping in with such gusto to grab the cash!
And they wonder why...
