THEweather saved South Africa from a demoralising defeat in New Zealand, and helped them seal a 1-0 series win over their hosts to extend their excellent away record and continue their climb up the ICC rankings.
In nearly 11 years, the Proteas have lost just once on the road, and that excellent run was extended, despite the fact it looked to be coming to an abrupt end, as overnight storms meant the third Test in Hamilton was drawn without a ball being bowled on the final day.
