Now it’s time for England selectors to get ruthless

WITH the County Championship season now just one week away, England coach Trevor Bayliss has fired another warning shot for players to put their hand up for international selection.
Following a miserable winter for the national side, where they lost five of the seven Tests played in Australia and New Zealand, it appears the door is open again for a cluster of players to walk through, with five rounds of Championship cricket being played before the squad is selected for the first Test against Pakistan on May 24.
