BEN STOKES still remains unlikely to play any part in this winter’s Ashes series even though he is set to have his central contract renewed by the England & Wales Cricket Board today.
The all-rounder will be one of 10 players to be granted new central contracts despite the fact he remains unavailable for selection pending the results of an internal disciplinary probe into the circumstances surrounding his late-night arrest in Bristol last month on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.
