Auckland all-rounder Adithya Ashok had a day to remember for Colchester and East Essex in the Essex League, scoring a ton and taking six wickets in his side’s 166-run win over Loughton.
Batting at three, Ashok, 20, hit 135 in Colchester’s total of 320-5 declared, including 13 fours and four sixes. He was supported by Joe MacGregor (63), the pair putting on 135 for the second wicket having been 0-1 after Guy Haines was dismissed first ball.
It was then Ashok’s turn to star with the ball as he took 6-40 from his 15 overs of leg-spin to help bowl out Loughton for 154.
