Former South Africa leg-spinner turned T20 globetrotter Imran Tahir has finally made his debut for Wedgwood in the North Staffs and South Cheshire League, coming away with a win and a loss from his first two appearances.
Tahir, 44, initially signed for the division three outfit for the 2022 season but various commitments delayed him making his debut until June 17 of this year in Wedgwood’s 145-run win over Meakins 2nd XI.
Batting at No.4, Tahir smashed 58 from 35 balls in Wedgwood’s total of 290-7 declared before picking up 2-42 from 11 overs with the ball.
