Forest reel in 65 to win a nail-biter

THERE was a nervy finish in division six of the Nidderdale and District Amateur Cricket League as Knaresborough Forest second XI defeated Pateley Bridge second XI by one wicket. The tail-end hero was Knaresborough Forest’s last man Anthony Brown who finished 4no, striking a boundary to see the North Yorkshire side home. To add to the drama, Knaresborough Forest only needed to chase down 65 to win, having bowled out Pateley Bridge for 64 inside 21 overs earlier in the day.
