A family affair for the Walkers – as they umpired, played and scored.

A heartwarming and rare photo emerged from Settle Cricket Club who are based in the Yorkshire Dales. The junior chairman, Ian Walker, and his son, Edward Walker, umpired a match together last weekend. Settle is one of the most successful cricket clubs in Yorkshire, fielding 12 teams a week – including a women’s side and seven junior teams. Ian and Edward umpired an Upper Airedale Junior Cricket League match between the Settle Gazelles and the Settle Boks.
