Tragedy averted in Kettering as defib saves the day

A DEFIBRILLATOR was used in a match at Kettering in the Northamptonshire Cricket League last weekend after a player involved in the game collapsed.The meeting between Kettering and Weekley & Warkton was abandoned after the incident, in which a visiting player in his fifties collapsed and required treatment.He was immediately attended to by a nurse watching the game, who is the wife of one of the players.The defibrillator, which the club first bought four or five years ago, was used as the individual received medical attention.Club chairman Martin Reece said: &ldq...
