ADOPTING a Ben Stokes-like mindset inspired Heathcoat as they won the Devon Cricket League title for the first time in their 128-year history, according to captain Jackson Thompson.
The Tiverton club completed an historic season as they sealed the trophy with one game to spare after beating Bovey Tracey by 42 runs.
The triumph capped a truly remarkable year for the club as it joined successes in the t20 County Cup and Second Eleven C Division East.
