OLLIE Mellor will certainly have a story to tell when he next trades wicket-keepingtales with his family after snaring seven catches in a match for Leek.
The son of a keeper and the brother of Warwickshire gloveman Alex, Mellor only put the keeping pads back on last season when he was drafted in after several years out in the field.
But his Leek teammates were surely delighted that he did last weekend, as he celebrated his maiden outing as firsts captain with a septet of grabs to power the side to an eight-wicket victory over Moddershall & Oulton.
