WHAT better way to liven up a distinctly unremarkable league campaign than a truly unforeseen moment.
Marton currently sit fifth in the North Yorkshire & South Durham Premier League, comfortably mid-table and 76 points off the top, so there was little to play for but pride and the enjoyment of the game as they faced Marske in their third to last game of the season.
For bowler Matthew Connolly, his fortunes had thus far mirrored those of his team: just 18 wickets in what was an injury-hit campaign.
