DESPITE finishing with his best ever figures after spinning Alvaston & Boulton into submission, even Sandiacre Town bowler Robert Cook was taken by surprise by his performance.
Cook, right, took 8-40 to bowl out Alvaston for 155 as the hosts fell 115 runs short of Sandiacre’s total of 270-7, but he admitted he was not expecting much after a tough start.
