SHEFFIELD Collegiate will always hold a special place in the heart of Billy Root.
The Nottinghamshire all-rounder makes himself available for his boyhood club at any opportunity and has already made a fine contribution this summer.
The younger brother of England test captain Joe Root took 5-20 as Collegiate bowled out defending champions Wakefield Thornes for just 68. Defending just 90 seemed like a daunting prospect as Root turned the tide but the 25-year-old claims he was fortunate to clinch a five-for.
