MATT van Poppel has been plying his trade for Sandwich Town for more than 15 years but seldom has he seen a player like Grant Stewart.
The Australian-born paceman took a stunning hat-trick against Bexley last weekend which included Scotland internationals Matt Cross and Callum MacLeod.
The 24-year-old, who has an Italian passport, was first spotted by Van Poppel whilst playing against HSBC in 2016 and it’s safe to say, the seamer hasn’t looked back since.
