JG MEAKIN captain James Menzies thought he’d never see the day his side won the North Staffordshire & South Cheshire Premier Division.
The team picked up their first ever top-flight title as they beat already relegated Betley and Porthill Park, league leaders going into the final round of fixtures, lost at home to Hem Heath.
Menzies said: “It was a really proud moment and reward for all of the hard work everyone has put in over the years.
“There’s a lot of people who have worked hard for this and I’m delighted for them.
