West’s flying high

JETLAG may be debilitating for some but not Banbury’s Richard West who put in a remarkable performance just hours after touching down in the UK.
West struck a half century and took five wickets as Banbury beat Oxford by 39 runs to keep alive their hopes of a tilt at the Home Counties Premier League.
And Banbury skipper Lloyd Sabin paid tribute to his all-rounder’s commitment.
“Richard West got back from South Africa on the morning of the match and went straight to the ground,” he explained.
