Boro’s batsmen are finding their range at long last

MIDDLESBROUGH captain Leigh Beaumont is backing his batsmen to show their worth after four of them racked up half-centuries in their win over Darlington.
The 50-year-old skipper admits they have struggled to score runs after the departure of former Durham man James Lowe but has every confidence in his current crop of young players, especially after this showing.
The 2010 North Yorkshire & South Durham League champions started brightly as new signing Nick Kwant opened with a knock of 53 before John Watson followed up immediately with a 65.
