ALEX DAVIES believes Lancashire are peaking at the right time in pursuit of Blast success after a nail-biting six-run victory over Durham on Friday night moved them one step closer to the quarter-finals.
The Lightning roared to 75 without loss in six overs after skipper Dane Vilas had won the toss, opener Finn Allen knocking 66 off 28 balls before eventually falling to Scott Borthwick in the ninth.
While his eight fours and three sixes in 28 balls dazzled the Durham bowling line-up as much as the Old Trafford crowd, Allen’s 21-ball 50 was just one slower than Jos Buttler’s Lightning reco...
