LANCASHIRE Lightning kept their Vitality Blast quarter-final hopes alive with a dominant win over Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Old Trafford.
Set a total of 142-8, Lancashire lost just two wickets with New Zealander Finn Allen (66) hitting his third half-century of the season to lead the chase.
“It’s been a little bit frustrating lately,” said Allen, who struck seven fours and three sixes. “I feel like I’ve been preparing well but it just hasn’t been quite clicking.
“So to get a little bit of personal success with a victory like that was nice.”
