Scotland registered their first win of the 2024 T20 World Cup after a superb partnership between captain Richie Berrington (47* from 35) and Michael Leask (35 from 17) took them to a five-wicket win over Namibia at the Kensington Oval.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Namibia skipper Gerhard Erasmus had rescued his team from 55-4, making 52 from 31 balls in a competitive total of 155-9. Brad Wheal (3-33) and Brad Currie (2-16) impressed with the new ball but Erasmus received support from Zane Green (28 from 27) to set the Scots a tricky chase.
