Decision day looms for new T20 comp

WHILE some will be opening a pleasant surprise from a loved one on Valentine’s Day, county chiefs are also hoping to receive positive news.
Counties will find out on February 14 whether they have been successful with their application to host one of the eight teams in English cricket’s planned new T20 competition.
It is believed that all the traditional Test match grounds – Lord’s, The Oval, Edgbaston, Old Trafford, Headingley and Trent Bridge – have put in bids to host the new teams while there have also been bids from Hampshire, ...
