FORMER Worcestershire player Alex Hepburn thought he was “God’s gift to women” after a sexual conquest ‘game’ with then team mate Joe Clarke resulted in a five-year jail term for rape.
A re-trial at Worcester Crown Court heard how Hepburn raped a sleeping woman in his city flat after she had sex with Clarke.
Judge Jim Tindal told him the “laddish” behaviour exposed on a WhatsApp group boasting about how the cricketers got women ‘blind and then back to ours’ had “demeaned women”.
