Brian Lara hospitalised with chest pain issues

West Indies great Brian Lara has been taken to hospital in Mumbai with complaints of chest pain.

The former Windies skipper and veteran of 131 Test matches is in Indian city for a corporate event, while also working for cricket broadcaster Star Sports.

Lara turned 50 last month and was diagnosed with hepatitis B during the West Indies tour of Sri Lanka in 2002.

The left-handed batsman is well remembered in English cricket for his unbeaten 501* scored for Warwickshire against Durham in the County Championship and being the first player to score 400 in a Test match against England in Antigua.
