England announce squad for Ireland ODI

ENGLAND have named their squad for the upcoming ODI against Ireland, with a lot of the big names being rested.

James Taylor will captain the side for the game in Dublin on May 8 with all the players currently touring the West Indies left out.

A number of players will be added to the Three Lions squad following selection for the third Test against West Indies, which begins on Friday.

There are six new names in the squad, which includes Kent’s explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings, Somerset allrounder Lewis Gregory and Surrey’s Zafar Ansari.

The other uncapped players are Northants all rounder David Willey, James Vince from Hampshire and Surrey batsman Jason Roy.

Roy made his England debut in t20 last summer but is yet to play a 50-over game for his country.
