“Join Allan and I on this in-depth tour which will provide you with a comprehensive understanding and enjoyment of this wonderful country as well as attending some riveting cricket.

It is a great honour to represent your country. Whether it is at home or abroad, I was fortunate to tour most of the best cricketing nations around the world. Sri Lanka has always been one of the toughest places to succeed on the Test match calendar.

Scoring runs or taking wickets in hot and humid conditions takes immense powers of concentration and skill. The Sri Lankan’s have always been extremely difficult to beat on their own patch. I have fond memories of performing in Colombo, because in 1982 I was lucky enough to play in Sri Lanka’s inaugural Test match.

England managed to gain a victory in Colombo and I remember the tremendous reception we received and the outstanding hospitality of the local people.

It will be fantastic to return to this exciting island and I look forward to linking up with my old England colleague and friend Allan Lamb once again.

Regards,

Graham Gooch”
