A FINE bowling display from Derbyshire set up a comfortable five-wicket victory over winless Northants on Thursday.
The Steelbacks had both openers, Richard Levi and Adam Rossington, removed for ducks, and were only able to post a semi-respectable total of 141-8 thanks to a 59-run eighth wicket partnership.
Prior to that, Derbyshire’s bowlers had chipped away, with Conor McKerr the pick as he took 2-23.
In reply, Derbyshire lost three early wickets but Leus du Plooy (48no) and Matt Critchley (44) added 81 to ensure it was a comfortable chase.
