ROBERT Croft has been named as Glamorgan’s new head coach, signing a rolling contract.

The former England spinner is part of England’s backroom team for their current one-day tour of South Africa as a spin bowling consultant and was previously Glamorgan’s bowling coach.

The 45-year-old has spent 28 years at the county and succeeds Toby Radford who left his position in December after two seasons in the role.

Croft, pictured working with Adil Rashid, said: “Glamorgan has been my home club for 28 years as a player and a coach.

“I’m under no illusions as to the scale of the challenge that we will face but I have taken it on knowing that there is a collective desire to drive things forwards.”
