ESSEX will have the services of Adam Milne this summer after the New Zealand bowler signed a deal to play in seven t20 Blast group games.

The 23-year-old quick has played 29 ODIs and taken 18 wickets in his 14 twenty20 internationals, including 3-8 against Pakistan recently.

Essex head coach Chris Silverwood said: “He is exactly what we were looking for from an overseas player.

“We believe Adam can help us push on at the end of the group stage as we look to secure our place in the latter stages of the competition.”
