MAN-OF-THE-MATCH Paul Stirling heralded a battling Southern Brave performance as they lifted the innaugural men’s Hundred at Lord’s last night.
Stirling smashed 61 off just 36 balls to help the Brave tally 168-5, which ultimately proved too much for the table-topping Phoenix to handle.
“I think it was a brilliant team performance,” the Irish opener said. “Everyone chipped in since I’ve been involved. Another good day for the lads and we finished it off well in the end.
