Vote for your nominees in the Talk Home Mobile Asian Cricket Awards 2015

Awards (ACA), and cricket lovers from the British Asian community are reminded to act now to make sure they do not miss the chance to nominate deserving players, coaches, administrators and others.

The ACA, which are held in association with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and supported by the Club Cricket Conference, are open to people with British Asian heritage as well as to those dedicated to increasing Asian participation in British cricket.

Sponsored by Talk Home Mobile, the Awards aim to improve the awareness of the positive impact made by Asians within the British cricket industry and to engage with organisations and individuals to help increase participation.

Nominations for the 11 categories (see below) will be accepted up until midnight on Monday 17 August, and can be made at www.asiancricketawards.com. The winners will be announced at a gala awards night at Lord’s on Tuesday 13 October.

The award categories for the 2015 Asian Cricket Awards, sponsored by Talk Home Mobile, are as follows:
– Professional Player of the Year
– Woman in Cricket

“The Talk Home Mobile Asian Cricket Awards are definitely an inspiration,” said England and Essex all-rounder Ravi Bopara. “Both to those at the top level and those who help out at schools and clubs around the country.

“It is really important to recognise the hard work put in by all these people. The Awards will make others think ‘that could be me’.”

The 2014 ACA player of the year Moeen Ali, a member along with Adil Rashid of England’s victorious Ashes squad, added: “An event such as this, at the home of cricket, helps to give British Asians the platform they deserve.”

From local club cricket to the Ashes-winning England side, there have been some tremendous performances over the summer – on and off the field of play. Your nomination can make sure those achievements are fully recognised.
