NEW Kent star Jack Leaning has hailed his ‘youthful’ team-mate – 44-year-old Darren Stevens. Evergreen Stevens bagged his 28th first-class five-for in his side’s draw with Middlesex last week. The haul took the all-rounder past 800 professional victims and already he has 13 to his name in the Bob Willis Trophy. Having started life primarily as a batsman, Stevens has turned himself into one of the most feared operators on the county circuit since arriving at Canterbury ahead of the 2005 season.
