Time for an English quota

THE number of Kolpaks and foreign players with ‘passports of convenience’ is getting beyond ridiculous.
Glamorgan, for example, have cynically bought T20 success with a line-up that seems to have little more relevance to Wales than the Cape Cobras or the Durban Dolphins. Hampshire’s chairman is even more shameless in defending the Kolpak influx. But each signing deprives a home-grown player of the chance to perform and, potentially, to play for England.
