Should we honour Jimmy?

THERE has been quite a bit of local debate as to whether the naming of an end at Old Trafford should be given to someone who, because of England commitments, has hardly been what you would class as a county stalwart.
Surely a county ground should recognise those who have done the most for the county?
There is no doubting Jimmy Anderson has been a worldclass performer for England, but as Old Trafford is not a national stadium, why has he been revered at a county ground he very rarely plays at?
