Future looks bright for Sussex fledglings

SUSSEX will be in the third tier when the Championship concludes in September after drawing with Glamorgan, but skipper Ben Brown insists the future is bright.
Brown scored his 20th first-class hundred while youngsters Ali Orr and Danial Ibrahim, who both made half-centuries, and off-spinner Jack Carson, who took six wickets, all impressed.
It was a solid effort by Sussex, who had 12 players unavailable because of England calls, injuries and Tom Clark’s positive Covid test which meant several team-mates had to self-isolate.
