AN OPENING stand of 144 and the continued rise of 16-year-old bowling sensation Archie Lenham guided Sussex Sharks to a 33-run victory over Glamorgan in the South group.
Having won the toss and chosen to bowl, Phil Salt and captain Luke Wright put on 63 and 77 respectively in a 144-run opening stand, Wright smashing 11 fours and three sixes from his 41 balls.
They were both out in the same Dan Douthwaite over and the Sharks’ middle order could not replicate the free-scoring openers as they ended on 201-8.
