The Hundred: Maxwell to sit out but Inglis keeps Spirit alive

AUSTRALIAN batsman Glenn Maxwell has become the latest overseas player to pull out of the inaugural season of the men’s Hundred.
Maxwell was due to play for London Spirit on a £100,000 contract but has withdrawn from the tournament, having already pulled out of Australia’s upcoming white-ball tours to the Caribbean and Bangladesh.
But Shane Warne, the team’s head coach, has acted quickly to bring in a replacement, adding Josh Inglis, the Perth Scorchers and Western Australia wicketkeeper-batter currently playing T20 at Glamorgan, as a replacement player.
