TOM Banton was the hero in Taunton as his scintillating 77 off 37 balls inspired Somerset to a nail-biting seven-run win over Hampshire Hawks, writes PETER WHITE.
Having lost the toss the hosts started slowly at the crease, with James Hildreth (3), Devon Conway (5) and Lewis Goldsworthy (9) all falling within the first seven overs, before Tom Lammonby was bowled for a duck in the eighth.
