The Indian Premier League will hold its auction for the 2023 season in December, and anticipation is growing over the potential player movement. The IPL will have a mini-version of the auction after last off-season’s larger market.

One of the big names of IPL cricket already available is all-arounder Cameron Green. The Australian had a stellar three-match series against India in T20I play recently. Green’s performances have led to a rise in stock amongst IPL franchises. The all-rounder is now on the radar of multiple teams, and he could be one of the biggest signings of the auction.

Cricket fans are anticipating the new IPL season and are discussing whether the Gujarat Titans can repeat as champions. Fans can visit https://thebettingsites.com/in/ to get the latest bet bonus codes for India before wagering on the team they believe will win the IPL 2023 championship.

Green currently plies his trade in Australia with Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers of the Big Bash League. He joined the Scorchers in 2018-19, and only debuted in T20I play in April 2022. It is Green’s T20I play that has caught the eye of IPL franchises, and three teams could land the Aussie all-round for the upcoming 2023 tournament.

Which teams could sign Cameron Green?

Green showed off his excellent bowling attributes against India in T20I play. The Aussie’s fast-medium bowling would fit in well with the Rajasthan Royals. The Royals already have Trent Boult, but Green is 10 years younger than the New Zealand cricketer. Green and Boult would be a fantastic one-two bowling punch. Both players are medium-fast bowlers, but Green is right-handed and Boult is a lefty. Green may be at his best with the cricket bat, however. He scored Australia’s third quickest fifty against India in T20I play. He smashed 52 runs off of 21 balls, impressing onlookers and becoming one of the in-demand players ahead of the next auction.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are looking for stability for the 2023 season. The middle part of the order was lacklustre last season, and Green could provide the strength needed for Sunrisers. Green is an option to open innings and get Sunrisers started.

The Kolkata Knight Riders need a player to back-up Andre Russell. The team is dependent on the West Indies star, and Green would provide some relief to Russell. The Kolkata Knight Riders could also use Green as another option in the starting XI and play to strong all-rounders.

Will Green play at the T20 World Cup?

While Green is an in-demand player for the upcoming IPL auction, the all-rounder won’t play at the T20 Cricket World Cup in Australia. Green was omitted from the Australia T20 World Cup team. The player’s form leaves Australia in a difficult position. Green is in form and hitting well, but other players are being prioritised instead.

Australia will play the West Indies and England ahead of the T20 World Cup in October. Green could play his way into the Aussie side at the last moment, earning a late call-up. However, for now, it looks like Green may have to make do with playing IPL cricket next March.
