West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has signed to play for Middlesex in this season’s T20 Blast.

The Trinidadian has been in hot demand for all of game’s most high-profile T20 tournaments over the past few months; featuring in the Big Bash League for Melbourne Renegades, in the CPL for Trinbago Knight Riders, and is currently showing his short-form talents in the the IPL for Chennai Super Kings.

Next for the 34-year-old will be a summer spent at the Home of Cricket after concluding a deal to play in the county in their first six matches of the Blast.

“I’ve been fortunate enough throughout my career to have played all round the world and Lord’s in London is a place that really excites me,” Bravo told the club’s official website.

“I have no hesitation committing to Middlesex for six games of the Vitality Blast and am looking forward to joining Dan Vettori’s squad at the start of July.”

10 years on from Middlesex winning the T20 Blast, managing director of cricket Angus Fraser said the West Indies legend can make games swing in his team’s favour with his ability whether padded up or running in to bowl.

“Dwayne is one of the most exciting and best T20 players in the world. He can win games of cricket with bat or ball. He may only be available for six games, but I expect him to have an impact in a number of these matches.

“I’m sure he is a player the huge Lord’s crowds will enjoy watching.”

Bravo, who has taken 472 wickets across the 20-over format for club and country, joins Ashton Agar as the overseas imports coming to north London this summer.
