In late 2016, I covered India A’s tour of Australia during cricket’s quiet off-season Down Under. But as a reporter, these under-the-radar events can be more useful – and certainly more fun – than covering Test matches.
In a far more casual environment, it’s an opportunity to mix with staff members and interview one-on-one any player or coach you desire.
