KANE Williamson’s latest World Cup batting heroics mean he must go down as New Zealand’s greatest ODI player of all time, according to former captain Daniel Vettori.
The skipper defied a tough Edgbaston track to produce a gem of an innings in beating South Africa, finishing 106no to put the Kiwis on the cusp of the semi-finals.
It was a knock filled with trademark Williamson, gorgeous shots complemented by clever placement and running to perfectly time a tricky chase of 242.
