Maynard gets nod to stay in Dragons’ role

MATTHEW Maynard will continue as Glamorgan’s interim head coach until the end of the 2019 season, writes JEREMY BLACKMORE.
Maynard, who led the county to the Championship title in 1997, took over the role last November following the departure of Robert Croft.
Now, new Director of Cricket Mark Wallace has asked him to remain in the role for the whole of the summer.
Maynard, 52, re-joined the club last year as a consultant batting coach after three seasons with Somerset as their director of cricket.
