Edgbaston, England, Pakistan and Sky TV all did Bob Willis proud this week, hosting, playing and presenting an absorbing match with which to celebrate the life of one of the truly great fast bowlers this country has produced.
One of the many highlights of coverage of this “Blue For Bob” day, to help raise awareness of prostate cancer, which claimed him in early December 2019, was a series of clips of various old players and young enthusiasts offering their best impressions of the bowler they called ‘Goose’. Among them, somewhat bizarrely, was a pretty decent effort by Javed Miandad.
