GARY WADDOCK hailed his Southend players for putting their bodies on the line as they recorded their first league win of the season in front of a watching Henrik Larsson.
Former Celtic hero Larsson has been linked with the Shrimpers after a run of seven losses and one draw in their opening eight games.
And he got to see Charlie Kelman’s goal in the fourth minute prove enough for a vital three points.
Despite a nervy finish, Waddock was impressed with the way his team defended.
