Wedgwood Second XI had a day to forget against Checkley second XI in the first round of the Cricket Cave Talbot Shield.
Wedgwood were bowled out for 8 in 10.1 overs before Checkley chased down their score from one legal delivery.
Charlie Lewis took 5-1 and Nick Hunt 4-3 for Checkley with the final wicket being a run out to cap off a nightmarish innings for Wedgwood.
In reply, Dom Marsh was hit for consecutive boundaries, one off a legal ball and one off a no-ball, as Blake Haddrell technically knocked off the deficit from one delivery.
